save and file all warranty paperwpork for all pool equipment

As a pool owner, be prepared to schedule service calls to have your pool equipment repaired or replaced. When you do, that service call will likely have some type of warranty.

If your equipment is generally in good condition, but just needs a replacement parts (or a few parts), the part(s) will have their own warranty, which is typically 30-90 days, depending on the part and the manufacturer.

If the equipment needs to be completely replaced, that piece of equipment will have a warranty, whish may be 30-90 days or 1-3 years, depending on the piece of equipment and the manufacturer.

When the service call is completed, make sure that the warranty paperwork (in the form of a warranty card) will be filled-out and mailed to the manufacturer. If you have to do it yourself, it is worth the 2 minutes to fill-out the warranty card(s) and the cost of a stamp to mail the warranty card(s) to the manufacturer(s).

The service technician should also offer a labor warranty, which is typically 7-30 days, depending on the service call and the service technician who handled that service call.

Make sure to save and file all of your pool warranty information; actually, make sure to save and file all of the paperwork and documentation for your pool.

You can read the Pool Manual for additional information about pool equipment, service calls, and warranties.
