information about pools is enhanced by hands-on experience

While virtually all of the information you need to maintain your pool can be found in our Pool Manual - as well as with our soon-to-be-released webinars and webcasts - or over the phone with your local pool professional, sometimes a one-on-one poolside orientation is the best way to communicate and show the information; sometimes it makes more sense when you can watch the pool professional perform the task while explaining what is being done right there at the pool.

An orientation, then, is a paid poolside service call where your chosen pool professional will teach you about your pool while at your pool. The orientation can be for any aspect of the pool, such as:

  • safety in and around the pool; how to use safety equipment; performing CPR (which may require a visit from a first responder).
  • water chemistry; pool testing; pool chemicals; chemical adjustments.
  • mechanical operations; the equipment (pump, filter, heater, automatic sanitizer, etc); the sub-panel for all of the equipment.
  • automation (an initial orientation to show you how to program, use, and troubleshoot the automation system should be provided once the automation is installed and wired).
  • routine maintenance; the maintenance schedule; perhaps about an automatic cleaner that you just purchased.
  • anything else you are willing to pay a service call for such valuable information and education.

Perhaps an onsite orientation is what you need. Coupled with our Pool Manual and future services and forms of overall pool support, you will become very proficient and efficient with pool maintenance, care, and operations.

Whenever you are operating, maintaining, and caring for your pool, you are also increasing your knowledge about your pool. The various tutorials and other how-to guides can teach you what you need to know, but actual hands-on experience doing what you need to do for the pool is the best way to apply what you have learned to actually and properly being able to operate, maintain, and take care of your pool.

With the possible exception of this Pool Manual, there is nothing more valuable than hands-on experience.

You can read the Pool Manual for additional information about every consideration of your pool.
