Automation

An automation system is optional...if used, it will control your main pool equipment to operate at certain pre-set times. It is the most advanced type of controller for pool equipment that has an on-off switch. To be clear, only equipment with an on-off switch can be wired to an automation system.

Automation is a glorified system of time clocks for any pool equipment with an on-off switch. This will allow you to program and control when that piece of pool equipment will be turned on and when it will be turned off.

Most manufacturers offer various levels of automation. Regardless of how simple or advanced the system is, automation is recommended for any pool.
