Propane Heater Troubleshooting

At times, your propane heater will be problematic. During these times, you will need to know how to troubleshoot the propane heater so you can best communicate the problem(s), which can ultimately save time and money if a service call is required to repair or replace the propane heater.

If you smell propane (which is a gas), stay away from the heater and call a pool professional that is certified to work on pool heaters or a licensed plumber that is certified to plumb gas. If the propane smell appears to be from the propane tank, and not the actual heater, then call the company that sold (or leased) you the propane tank.
