A service call is typically needed to re-build, repair, or replace pool equipment.

A service call can also be needed to repair or replace plumbing.

And there are other reasons for service calls.

While the service call - and more precisely, the cost of the service call - is a sore subject, it will be an absolute requirement and reality of pool ownership. It surely won't be a daily or weekly requirement. It may not even be a monthly requirement. You might not even need a service call during an entire pool season (if you're really lucky). But at some point, inevitably, you will need to schedule a service call.

With just a little knowledge and some assistance and communication on your part, you can minimize the cost of a service call.
