Knowing Seasonal Costs

There will always be annual operating costs and other seasonal costs just to use the pool each year. Some seasonal costs are fixed costs, meaning they will occur every year that the pool is used. Other seasonal costs are variable costs, meaning they may or may not be incurred in any given year that the pool is used.

You must know all of your seasonal pool costs. More importantly, it is imperative to be financially prepared for the fixed costs that you know you will spend each year as well as the variable costs that you may have to spend in given years.

If you know that something - whether it be a product or a service - will be needed for your pool each year, then list it in the seasonal budget.
