Leak Detection And Repair

There is a difference between leak analysis and leak detection.

With leak analysis, you are merely trying to determine if the pool leaks or not. Most of the time it will be very obvious if a pool is leaking. But some times it may not be so obvious. Regardless, you can help streamline the process with some analysis that you can do on your own (at no cost to you).

With leak detection, you are hiring a pool leak professional to find the leak source(s). Once they find the leak source(s) they will then submit a cost or a formal bid to fix and eliminate the leak.

If a pool leak is suspected, it needs to be confirmed. And as the onsite pool owner/operator, you really should take the lead in early leak analysis phases. Once a leak is confirmed, immediately call a professional that is trained, experienced, and equipped for pool leak detection and repairs, primarily for your type of pool.

DO NOT allow your pool to knowingly leak. This sentence is worth repeating...DO NOT allow your pool to knowingly leak. If your pool does leak - and if you continue to knowingly allow your pool to leak - then the water loss will be the least of your problems.

A pool leak is a problem. A neglected pool leak will be a major problem.
