When colored and color-changing lights were first used in pools, it was fiber-optic lights. Before LED colored lights were available, if you wanted a colored and color-changing light for your pool, fiber-optics were your only option. And they were - and still are today - a viable pool lighting option.

A fiber-optic lighting system is optional pool equipment. It is not required equipment...it is a luxury item. And fiber-optic lighting is not lighting for safety. Rather, fiber-optic lighting is for purely and solely aesthetics...it is for colored, color-changing and eye-catching lighting effects.
