Plumbing
Too often, the plumbing is the most under-thought aspect of the pool design. But it needs to be considered with equal importance as the equipment when designing proper and SAFE circulation and filtration of pool water.
The plumbing directly effects the capabilities of the pump and filter because it is the pathway for circulation (via the pump) and filtration (via the filter).
The plumbing further affects proper distribution of pool chemicals in the water.
And, the plumbing also has a role in pool safety, namely velocity requirements of the movement of water to and through the plumbing (primarily the suction fixtures).
