While there are effective chemicals (a Sequesterant) and maintenance procedures that will help prevent stains, the presence of stains on the pool surface is possible if conditions are favorable.

Prior to attempting to treat any stain, you must first troubleshoot the chemicals and the overall look of the stain to determine the cause. There are a few reasons for stains. By troubleshooting the chemicals and the overall look of the stain, you will be able to determine the reason for that stain and then use the correct chemicals and maintenance procedures to remove the stain.
