While the goal of water chemistry is to maintain crystal clear and blue sparkling water, this can be detracted by the presence of a stains on the pool surface.

While there are effective chemicals (a Sequesterant) and maintenance procedures that will help prevent stains, the presence of stains on the pool surface is possible if conditions are favorable.

Prior to attempting to treat any stain, you must first troubleshoot the chemicals and the overall look of the stain to determine the cause. There are a few reasons for stains.
