For those of you that live in a region that requires the pool to be closed and winterized each year, make sure to have the pool professionally winterized. It is not worth saving yourself a couple hundred dollars (give-or-take) and risk the chance to do thousands of dollars worth of damage should you winterize the pool by yourself and do so incorrectly. If the pool is winterized incorrectly, the potential for frozen and broken underground pipes is likely, which likely would cost significantly more to repair than it would have cost to have the pool correctly winterized. To reiterate, if your pool needs to be winterized each year, make sure to have the pool professionally winterized.
